I can’t log in. Help?
If you have trouble logging in, try the following:
- Double check that you’re using the correct account email and password
- An easy way to double-check is to search for emails from TeuxDeux in your email inbox and review the email address where we're sending those account emails
- Click “Forgot my Password”
How do I cancel my subscription?
Once logged in, visit our subscription page here. Uncheck auto-renew and make sure to press “Update.” Your subscription will cancel once the billing cycle ends, so you’ll be able to use TeuxDeux until then.
How do I delete my account?
Log in to TeuxDeux in your browser, click on your username in the upper-right corner > Account > “Delete my account” (at the bottom). You won’t be charged after deletion.
Do I need to cancel before my free trial ends?
Trial accounts cancel automatically once the 30 days are up, so you don’t need to worry about cancelling manually. You won't be charged.
Do you have an Android app?
Yup! You can get it here.
How much does TeuxDeux cost?
We have a ‘Believer’ plan, which is $2 a month, paid yearly as well as a ‘Skeptic’ plan, which is $3 a month, paid monthly.
Is there a free version of TeuxDeux?
Yup – you can use it through our iOS or Android apps for free.
Is there another way to pay besides with a credit card?
We can only accept credit cards if you pay on the web (teuxdeux.com). If you pay in our iPhone app, you can use all Apple-accepted payment methods, which includes PayPal and others.
How do I manage my TeuxDeux subscription with Apple?
If you paid for your subscription in the iPhone app, you can follow Apple’s instructions for canceling, viewing, or changing your TeuxDeux subscription (click here).
Can I switch from paying with Apple to paying with a credit card?
Yes, you can! First, you’ll need to turn off auto-renew in your Apple account (follow instructions here), let your subscription expire, and then update your subscription through TeuxDeux in your web browser (Settings > Subscription > Edit Payment Information). Don’t worry, your to-dos will survive the transition!
Can I receive my daily to-dos via email?
Yep! Go into Settings in the web app. Under the Daily Digest tab, select a time and click ‘Save’ (the default time is set to 12:00 pm). You can switch on/off your Daily Digest on your iPhone app as well.
How can I cancel my daily emails?
In the web app, go to Settings > Daily Digest, set the time as “never”, then save. In the iPhone app, go into Settings and deselect “email to-dos daily”, tapping the checkmark to save.
Do I need an Internet connection to use TeuxDeux?
You do! TeuxDeux is a cloud-based app, meaning your to-dos stay backed up and available wherever you are. If you’re using your phone, your to-dos will sync as long as you have data turned on.
Can I print out my TeuxDeux lists?
If you go to File > Print, you can print out your week of to-do’s (we’ll take care of the formatting).
How do I set recurring to-dos?
End any to-do with “every day”, “every week”, “every two weeks”, “every month”, or “every year” and it will automatically populate that to-do item in the designated repetition cycle.
Why isn’t my to-do going to the bottom once crossed off?
In our iPhone app, completed to-dos move immediately to the bottom of your list. On the web, completed to-dos will automatically move to the bottom every 5 minutes but manually refreshing the page will move them even faster.
How much does the iPhone app cost?
The app itself is free to download! To make it useful though, you’ll need a TeuxDeux account, which is $3/month for a monthly subscription or $2/month for a yearly subscription.
How do I create/edit/delete/cross off a to-do?
To create: tap on the plus button in the lower right, tap the blank space at the bottom of your list, or pull down on your list when you’re at the top.
To edit: Swipe left on the to-do
To delete: Swipe left until the edit turns to delete or swipe right to move it to tomorrow
To mark as done: tap once to cross of, tap again to un-do
How do I switch colors? Turn on the flying cat?
Head to Settings (the wheel in the upper right corner) and you’ll see the color wheels to select from. Immediately below that, you’ll see a switch to “enable flying cat”.
Why aren’t my new settings saving?
Don’t forget to tap the check mark in the upper right corner to save changes!
How do I create recurring to-dos?
As you type in your to-do, you’ll see a small “recycle” symbol in the lower left corner - click that and you’ll be able to select the recurring cycle.
How do I move a to-do to tomorrow, a different day or to a Someday list?
To move the to-do to the next day, swipe right. To move it to an entirely different day, swipe left to edit and click the calendar icon in the lower left corner, then select the day. To move it to a Someday list, click the bullet list icon in the lower left corner and select the Someday list.
Will the app sync with my desktop app?
Yes! Syncing between the web app and iPhone app works without any extra work on your end. You’ll see a small “syncing” message at the bottom of your app when it syncs.
Can I save my to-dos after my free trial ends?
Yep! Your account will revert to read-only so you can’t make edits your to-dos will be safe and you can download your data at any time (in Settings). If you have unfinished business, you can extend your trial for 2 weeks by pressing “Snooze” in your account after the trial has ended.
Can I create a custom background for my TeuxDeux interface?
Nope! You can set it as pretty much any color you could imagine, though.
Can I set up alerts for my to-dos?
No alerts here - we believe in working at your pace and giving space for deep work, so we’re decidedly anti-interruption.
Why isn’t my “Today” column in the far left?
We find that it’s often helpful for people to have a holistic view of where they’ve been and where they’re headed. Yesterday’s events are important context for today, which is why you can see it in the far left column.
